What is a role model?

Someone who is careful.

Someone who is safe.

Full of wisdom and strength.

Someone you must follow,

But not like a sheep.

A person you care for

Who you can’t just abandon.

Like a father, a mother,

A sister, or a brother.

Someone you can trust

With your life and your gains.

Someone who doesn’t fuss

When you make a mistake.

A role model is not made by envy,

But by example of what you must be.

Someone who helps the world

Without losing himself.

Who’s willing to sacrifice

What they must.

Someone who teaches you

About the outside world

So you may charge on

And change society's mistakes

Someone you believe in

That also believes in you.

Someone that is willing

To stand up for you.

Someone with experience

But not too much.

A man you can surpass

In a way you can’t cheat ahead

A person who gives you a problem

Yet guides you to the answer.
